Book Review | One Poison Pie by Lynn Cahoon

Goodreads | Kindle | Amazon

I listened to this via audiobook narrated by Angie Hickman. This is the first book in A Kitchen Witch Mystery series.

Synopsis:

Mia is working to open a catering business but encounters a client before she is open and ready. She’s teaming up with James and Trent to get this done.

John Lewis wants her building and tells her that he is going to make her want to sell it to him. The building is falling apart and needs a lot of work but she is willing to do what it takes to get it up and running.

Before she gets to finish the job, her client ends up dead. Then, Mia ends up the suspect in the murder. John informs William that Mia is the one who killed his aunt because she didn’t like her. He threatens her. Now she has a target on her back. Will she be the next one to end up dead? Or can they find out who the real killer is before it’s too late?

Review:

This was such a good cozy mystery. There are warlocks and witches that have different powers. The murder was a mystery so me the whole time, although I’m not sure how anyone could have really been able to figure it out, but I’m okay with that.

I thought that Mia was a bit ditzy. She isn’t really the amateur sleuth but instead walks into things but I will be continuing with the series.

This was given to me via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
