He message here is very clear and straightforward. The pictures in this children’s book are wonderful. I think Vincent Kelly did a wonderful job with his message. However, the message would probably be more interesting if there was actually a story that portrays this message instead of just telling children to be good to everyone and how we need each other.
While I completely agree with this message itself and feel that it is a good. I think it is just not as interesting as it could have been. Children don’t typically like to be told what to do and this feels more in the line of a lecture than a children’s story.

I completely agree with you. The strength of a book is, it can tell an engaging story illustrating a point, which is a much better way of making the message sink in and stick. A shame this isn’t utilised here.
