Synopsis:
Pippa is so small she doesn’t think she has what it takes to jump far until the day she recieves a pair of shoes owned by the Leaper. She gets suck in the mud after jumping in them and looses then just before the big contest to determine who will be the mayor of Mulberry Pond. Will she be able to jump far without those shoe? She decides to try.
Review:
This is a tale of knowing that practice and determination is what it takes to get what you want in life. There are no short cuts, like owning special shoes to truly help you.
This is a great early reader. Reminds me of Frog and Toad. Maybe it’s just because Pippa is a frog. Pippa is such a cute little frog. This is a great story for early elementary to middle grade.
