This ended up not being my thing. The story was written in letters which I can sometimes enjoy but not this time. The story wasn’t interesting to me. I think perhaps if I was reading this in physical form instead of audio I would have enjoyed it more.
There was to many different characters for me. I enjoy dual POV but when you talk about every person who came in contact with the manuscript, it becomes to much.
I also didn’t find as much enchantment in this as the synopsis makes it out to be and I didn’t find it as much of a mystery as I thought it would be.
I thought the writing was nice but over all this was rather boring. I would not recommend this to just anyone. Its a dry romantic mystery but not the mystery of which I like. I want it to be much more.
If you like more literary or romance and enjoy lots of characters and books in letter format then I old recommend. But it was a slow read for me. Nothing major climactic. I personally would not recommend this if you enjoy actual mystery novels.
This was a free audiobook from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
